Students in second grade will prepare to receive the sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Eucharist. Students in grades 10 and 11 will prepare to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. Weekly Mass attendance is required for all Catholics. It is especially important for all children preparing for the Sacraments to attend weekly Mass with their family.
Parish missions and events hosted by our parish and/or the Diocese of Marquette are scheduled throughout the year and are usually advertised in our church bulletin, our website and our Facebook page.
Parents of our Faith Formation students are especially encouraged to participate in these programs.
Contact the Parish Office for details: 906-524-6424.
Members of the parish community are always invited to attend. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the Catholic Faith and to update one’s understanding of Catholic beliefs.
We can always use more Faith Formation teachers. Please don’t hesitate to contact our office to volunteer.
Students who attend our Parish Faith Formation programs should strive to be known for their Christian courtesy. Respect for teachers, administrative staff, support staff, volunteers, visitors, and fellow students is essential for the learning environment.
Please also practice prayers at home and continue to use the materials we provided for “at home” religious education.
As part of our commitment to maintaining a Safe Environment Program, all parents must come to pick up their children in the basement of Sacred Heart Church or Sacred Heart School.
