The theme of the 54th U.P. Catholic Services Appeal is “Transformation through Mission.”

Unprecedented times call for an unprecedented response. The pandemic changed the way we congregate. Our Upper Peninsula clergy responded in an unprecedented way with live-streamed and socially distanced Masses, parking lot adoration, outdoor confessions, private sacraments and more. Growing together as disciples, we brought Jesus to others through expanded acts of charity to our neighbors and the support of essential workers on the front lines.

UPSCA invites everyone to seek a deeper understanding of our faith through the many available opportunities that the appeal supports, year after year. All are invited to introduce their friends to Jesus, and together grow as disciples.

Thank you for prayerfully considering your gift to UPSCA.

Prayer for Our School

Dear Lord, bless Sacred Heart Catholic School. Help our Catholic school be a source of wisdom and a place where we learn about Your love.

May all who enter our classrooms be filled with the gift of Your Holy Spirit and come to know You in a more meaningful way.

Help our school community to grow as models of Character, Compassion, and Christian values so that You may be better known

throughout the world.

Prayer for Vocations

God our father, we turn to You in this time of great need. We trust in Your loving

kindness and ask You to hear the prayers we offer for Your church.

Through your grace we seek men to generously offer their lives to You

in the vocation of priesthood.

We seek both men and women who may offer their lives to You

in the vocation of religious life.

Bless and guide those who are discerning your call to holiness and service.

Give them courage, steadfast love and a spirit of charity

as they seek to respond faithfully to the call to priesthood

and religious life.

Our Diocese has purchased an app called FLOCKNOTE and we were invited to join at no cost to our parishes. It's a way to communicate with our parishioners, through email or text. The app is associated with Bishop Barron's Word on Fire. The term Flocknote comes from shepherding our flock, for Christ.

Any questions, please call Karen at the Parish Office, 524-6424.

If you would like to join in this exciting way to communicate with Baraga County Catholic Community, there are two options:

  1. Text 'BCCC' to 84576. You will receive a text back with a link to click on to complete the process

  2. Fill out this form and click on 'Sign Me Up'
